Formed and forged from hand and heart, our unique gardening and homesteading tools are created to instill a sense of history, an appreciation for beauty and a desire to get things done.

We use as much reclaimed steel and repurposed materials in our tools as possible. Primarily to reduce our impact on the world and to demonstrate the value in the old and worn.

Hand forged. One by one. In Canada.

All of our items are hand forged by the husband and wife blacksmithing duo, Tim and Lorinda. We use traditional techniques and equipment: the hammer and anvil, the forge and tongs.

Our ironwork is defined by:

  • Durability: built to last generations
  • Nostalgia: hand made using a process that’s 4,000 years old
  • Sustainability: made from reclaimed and recycled steel
  • Beauty: whether in the garden or on the farm, people WANT to use these tools
  • Pride of ownership: satisfaction in knowing that your purchase was a wise investment
  • All of our products are covered by a limited lifetime warranty

2020 in Review

It’s about time for an update from the crew here. My wife has taken on a bigger and more direct role in how we do things in the forge. I’m grateful for her presence and dedication. We fully expected the pandemic to slam our business into the ground but it had the exact opposite effect. …

About Us

Reforged Ironworks is Tim and Lorinda Peel-Wickstrom, blacksmiths and homesteaders raising their family in the beautiful Creston Valley. The two originally met at a permaculture design program in 2013, and it was there that the seed for what became Reforged Ironworks was planted.

The intent with our work comes from the inherent ability of blacksmiths to give old steel new life and a desire for effective hand tools that remind us of slower and quieter times. Seeing a need for high quality gardening tools made with minimal impact, Tim taught himself the blacksmith trade with guidance from more experienced ‘smiths. In time, as the business grew, Lorinda stepped into the forge to also learn the blacksmith trade. Her backgrounds in gardening, promotion and artistry are invaluable.

We seek a path to a slower and more intentional way of living.
