An elegant and rugged Viking cloak pin, hand forged by artist blacksmith Tim Peel-Wickstrom, is the perfect accessory to your medieval garb or costume. Forged from wrought iron and burnished to a silver-black, the pin’s design is authentic and functional.
In the fire of the blacksmith’s forge, this piece is born. A plain piece of steel rod is brought to life with the anvil, hammer and guidance of the blacksmith. Three reverse twists are added to the cloak pin to highlight the texture of forged steel. The scrolled ends pay homage to the ancient heritage of this accessory, simplicity at its finest. A thin steel rod is shaped to easily pierce fabrics without damaging them, and so the pin works great with many types of material. Finally, the piece is burnished with a wire wheel to bring out the natural beauty of humble iron.
The cloak pin is about 1.5″ round and very light. It can hold about an inch thick of bunched material with ease.
