These rustic and beautifully hand forged wall hooks are useful for those situations where you want a little extra storage space done in style. The hooks are forged from 1/4″ mild steel bar and are easily installed with the included wall screws. They can be installed into either drywall or wood. Make for an unforgettable housewarming gift. An excellent addition to any home, especially cabins.
Finish:
Silver-black finish with wire brush and beeswax. Not recommended for outdoor use as they could rust over time from moisture.
Process:
I forge these hooks in a batch process by starting out with a length of 1/4″ hot rolled mild steel rod. The finial scroll is forged first, followed by the hook itself. The proto-hook is cut from the stock and the top finished on the shoulder of the anvil. Each hook is then drilled with a screw hole, wire brushed and finished with a coating of beeswax and linseed oil to prevent rusting.
