Description
These rustic and beautifully hand forged, wrought iron wall hooks are useful for those situations where you want a little extra storage space done in style. The hooks are forged from 5/16″ mild steel bar and are easily installed with the included wall screws. These hooks are very sturdy and when installed into a solid post or beam can hold a lot of weight. If installed into drywall or other wallboard, using a wall anchor will help. These hooks make for an unforgettable housewarming gift. An excellent addition to any home, especially cabins.
Finish:
Silver-black finish with wire brush and beeswax. Not recommended for outdoor use as they could rust over time from moisture.
Process:
We forge these hooks in a batch process by starting out with a length of 5/16″ hot rolled mild steel rod. The finial scroll is forged first, followed by the hook itself. The proto-hook is cut from the stock and the top finished on the shoulder of the anvil. Each hook is then drilled with a screw hole, wire brushed and finished with a coating of beeswax and linseed oil to prevent rusting.
